Once me and Jigyasa(my best friend) were having a conversation,i remember at that time Navratras were going on.I asked her,'tum log Ashtmi karte ho ya Navmi'.The moment i said this line, surprise took over her.She replied with puzzle and an excitement,'Aqsa tum muslim kaise ho..i doubt..tumhe toh sab pata hai yar'.This where i want to say and ask 'where's the difference?'.
Grown up in a Muslim family,no doubt,i have been taught Muslim values very well. But one very important value taught by my parents is to assimilate and accept what others are and what they propagate and profess.Since childhood i never found my parents distinguishing between varied religions, festivals and other religious practices. If on Eid everyone with joy and fervour comes at our place to have sewaiyaan then surely with the similar festive zeal we celebrate every festival. In fact i would say we celebrate Diwali and Holi with more extravagance of fun.Where's the difference?
I am sorry, i don't know the differences. For me differences don't exist. For me its all about accepting the good and marvel at it.Happiness do not see divisons,it just knocks the door and our work is to quickly grab it.I am grateful to my parents that they are not bounded in this quagmire of 'tera-mera'..for them its always been 'humara' and this is what i have been entrenched with.
Time is changed, perspectives have changed.A small word 'difference' actually becomes the reason for creating differences. All we need to do is to take a panoramic view of life and then see that everything is 'one'.What you give is what you get.Give love and get love and at the end what will exist is the handful of happiness and peace.
THERS IS NO DIFFERENCE..
Wishing you all a very happy Diwali :)
Godbless and goodnight:)
