A friend's dedication to me...

Before writing what my friend dedicated to me i would first mention its importance. For someone it may be just the compilation or rhyming of lines, for me it means treasure. Thanks a lot ANKUR for engraving these lines on my life.Getting something like this from a person who is not even an expert writer makes it more special and what makes it even more special that he engrossed his soul into it to bring my soul in his writing.

Here i am presenting a beautiful work by Ankur Jain:

Dhuan banakar hawa mein uda diya usko,
woh jal rahi thi kisi aur ne jala diya usko,

Jise kadam kadam par aazmaaya gaya woh waqt thi woh,
shayad isi tarah likhi uski taqdir khuda ne,
jise chahne wala toh mila..par chaha na gaya aisi shaqs thi woh,

Dil ki kitaab kuch iss tarah bana rahi thi woh,
har panne mein apna dard chupa rahi thi woh,
kisiko uske dard ka pata na lage,
isiliye sabke aagey muskura rahi thi woh,
Kuch fitrat hi aisi thi uski,
ke sabko jeena sikha rahi woh,

woh mausam..woh fiza bhi uski numi ke aagey kuch num si thi,
par kya karein aay zalim,
uske haathon mein mohabbat ki lakeerein kuch kum hi thi,

Mayus hai woh kuch iss ehsaas se inkar karti thi,
bhari mehfil mein kuch baat use rusva karti thi,
yakeen tha use ke saari duniya khafa hai usse,
par pata nahi kyun mujhpar aitbaar karti thi,

Abhi chalna tha usey..raste ko manzil woh maanti kaise,
jin unchaiyon ko chumna tha..use chume bina haar maanti woh kaise,

Apni chahat ko aankhon mein jalakar kuch khadi hui thi woh aise,
ke maano uske saath kuch hua hi naa ho jaise,

Uske daman par ashqon ke nishaan kuch reh gaye,
khamosh lab se guzari raaton ki dastan humse keh gaye,
bhula rahi thi woh apne ashqon ko ek bure sapne ki tarah,
apna hausla bulandh aagey kar badh rahi thi woh,

Ab manzil bhi usi ki thi,
raasta bhi usi ka tha,
sapne bhi uske the,
hausla bhi usi ka tha,

Aksar mera dil kehta hai...

Kuch Khuda bhi usi ka tha.......

Censorship is not the solution !

Strange! when the government can't solve problems at their own hand, they have better tools to use-Censorship.
In the name of 'national security',targeting of social networking sites is only going to arouse dissent but nothingelse. If the government is highly concerned about the 'security' then are other areas to delve in and needs more attention.
As stated by Kapil Sibal,he was agitated when he saw cartoon of Sonia Gandhi which was 'defamatory'.Somebody please inform Mr.Sibal that why only this cartoon agitated him. There are several other cartoons, information and videos available on internet which are derogatory not only to Sonia Gandhi but many other people..Why this wake up call now?
The question is why this law?..there are laws already prevailing and censorship is not the solution. If taken in this sense, social networking sites at times becomes the reason for 'grouped hatred' against someone. But this calls for us to become a responsible netizens. If any person finds content false or defamatory, they can very well report. There are all the mechanisms and laws which are in place and can be used when required at the right situation.
In today's time when social networking sites have become the platform for young and revolutionary voices and at the same time bridging distances between people across the world, completely rooting out these sites or censorship is the harbinger of setback.
And.if censorship is the only way out, then why only Facebook,Google and Yahoo?.Censor everything available on internet, censor newspapers and magazines, censor bollywood films, censor all the channels we watch on television.
My point is,there is no limit to censorship. There is bad, worst, threatening and obscene prevalent everywhere..its as simple as that, everything cannot be censored!.Censorship if applied in entirety it would be like 'censoring our half of the lives'.
The major problem i observe is that government tries to bring new laws and policies..when the suffice laws are already there. There is a need to sharpen already existing laws which would be more than enough to keep a check on 'national security' as well as 'individual woes' on social networking sites.
Censorship is just the word, not the solution!

Khuda ne insaan ko insaaniyat se sawaara..
Insaan ne kiya..batwaara..

Maa.....

"Benoor ko noorani karde aisi hai Maa..
Bujhti zindagi ki aas hai Maa..

Iss zindagi ke haqdaar hum nahi, yeh zindagi hai Maa..
Khwaabon se bhi khubsurat..kali se bhi makhmal tumhara ehsaas hai Maa..

Main toh lafzon ka mauhtaj tha..tumne toh dhadkan sunli Maa..
Meri saaz aur awaaz hai Maa..

Duniya ki chakachaund mein ulajhkar gaya tha pardes khushiyaan aur aaram khareedne..
Kahan se laau tera sparsh..ab aankhen lagi bheegney..

Zindagi khafa si lagti hai..har chiz bewafa si lagti hai..ab laut aana chahta hun
Maa..
Bada behis nikla main..phir bhi meri yaad mein aankhen nam karti ho Maa..

Aise hi nahi inke kadmo mein jannat..Iss Khuda ki Khudaai hai Maa...

Where's the difference?

Once me and Jigyasa(my best friend) were having a conversation,i remember at that time Navratras were going on.I asked her,'tum log Ashtmi karte ho ya Navmi'.The moment i said this line, surprise took over her.She replied with puzzle and an excitement,'Aqsa tum muslim kaise ho..i doubt..tumhe toh sab pata hai yar'.This where i want to say and ask 'where's the difference?'.
Grown up in a Muslim family,no doubt,i have been taught Muslim values very well. But one very important value taught by my parents is to assimilate and accept what others are and what they propagate and profess.Since childhood i never found my parents distinguishing between varied religions, festivals and other religious practices. If on Eid everyone with joy and fervour comes at our place to have sewaiyaan then surely with the similar festive zeal we celebrate every festival. In fact i would say we celebrate Diwali and Holi with more extravagance of fun.Where's the difference?
I am sorry, i don't know the differences. For me differences don't exist. For me its all about accepting the good and marvel at it.Happiness do not see divisons,it just knocks the door and our work is to quickly grab it.I am grateful to my parents that they are not bounded in this quagmire of 'tera-mera'..for them its always been 'humara' and this is what i have been entrenched with.
Time is changed, perspectives have changed.A small word 'difference' actually becomes the reason for creating differences. All we need to do is to take a panoramic view of life and then see that everything is 'one'.What you give is what you get.Give love and get love and at the end what will exist is the handful of happiness and peace.
THERS IS NO DIFFERENCE..
Wishing you all a very happy Diwali :)
Godbless and goodnight:)

Aaj phir iss dil se aah nikli..................

"Aaj phir iss dil se aah nikli..
sab kuch bahaut khubsurat hai yahan..
logon ka jamghat..thaahakey aur deewanapan hai yahan..
phir bhi kuch alag hai yahan..
janab bade bedard nikle woh..iss bheed mein bhi hume tanha kardiya..
humne uff bhi nahi kari sab seh liya...
magar phir bhi aaj iss dil se ik aah nikli......"

I don't support reservations!

Reservation in education and jobs has always been a contentious issue.I do not see it as a perfect solution to the social inequities of the country. For a colossal country like India which is already in the quagmire of problems, reservation is seen only as the thorny issue in the public course.
There is no end to the reservation policy in India. The entire structure of the reservation policy per se promotes divide and slackish attitude. It is a self destructive process adopted by the government, affecting country's progress in the long run.
Reservations are an outright compromise on quality.A person belonging to a weaker section who knows that he will be selected on the basis of caste irrespective of his performance would choose not to put in effort to improve himself or perform better. Thus, institutions that follow such reservation policy are indeed compromising on quality standards. This argument explains the state of government institutions and services in India today.
Another reasons why reservations must be rooted out because it roots in the caste system in the name of social justice and constitution. Also, perpetrating friction among social groups.
Reservations are unhealthy and unfair because they are contrary to the right to equality. There is no fair basis of selection and the direct outcome is reverse discrimination. In India, among the limited positions for higher studies 50% are reserved.Ironically, reserved category candidates can also compete for open 50% seats. This results in reverse discrimination for non-reserved candidates.
Reservation is a political trump card of politicians to secure their vote bank and create divide on the basis of religion, caste and gender. As Arun Shourie once stated,'the truth about reservation is that they are sleight of hands of politicians'.
The other major problem i see with reservations is that benefits are never reaped by the needy ones. People enjoy reservation throughout life and generations and even after becoming rich also. This is because that the policy has never been subject to scrutiny and failed to see larger perspective at the ground level.
In the final analysis i would say that more than reservations India needs suitable infrastructure which first provide basic amenities to weaker sections because higher education and jobs are distant dreams for those who do not even get two square meals a day.
Reservation also results in:
.educational institutions losing their independence.
.positive discrimination still remains a discrimination.
.As of 2006.2297 communities were listed as backward, while no community has been removed from the list.
This shows we do not need reservations,we first need a basic standard life if we wish to proceed further.
Give free and quality education till 12th to all the deprived and poor sections and also give full scholarship to those who get selected in any institution. But don't reserve seats. If we want to remove the disease we first have to find its roots.RESERVATION IS NO SOLUTION.

Keep Crusading..!!

'Anna nahi aandhi hai, desh ka dusra Gandhi hai'

"Salam hai Anna ke sahas ko,
salam hai desh ki janta ki chah ko,
nayi pidhi aaj dekh rahi desh ka dusra azaadi ka aandolan,
nah bahega lahu, nah hogi hinsa..kranti ka naya daur hai..shaamil ho raha hai jan jan"

People of India after years of Independence for the first has shown so much fervour for their country,to fight against the perils which are eating the roots of the country and its moral fiber. The 'Anna wave' helped in bringing out the dormant desires of people of the country. This saintly person has single-handedly today is successful in creating coherence amongst the citizens of India to fight together, shunning away all the divisons based on religion, caste, sex, creed and class.
However,at one end where the nation is 'all support' for him.At the other end there are a cadre of people who take issue with everything what is in action. For them Annaji's idea of Jan Lokpal Bill is nothing but a mere illusion to appease people for sometime and does not have any long term credibility.I have also heard people saying that 'its not even worth effort'.I cannot change the mindset of those people but have only one message.'No effort is worthless, rather not doing any effort is worthless'.A small spark kindles the fire and now when someone has kindled that fire,we must support him.If Gandhiji during his freedom struggle had not got the mass support then we weren't be what we are today. He also began with a small effort and he succeeded, now its time to show solidarity to make India 'corruption free' and respect the efforts of this 'new age Gandhi'..shri Anna hazare..

I love you Kamala Nehru! :)

9th June my exams finished.I can't explain how joyous i was at that day.Hundreds of plans criss-crossed through my mind in minutes after the bell rang for the final call of finishing of exams.I was so over zealous about the fact that now for two months i will not see my college again. This feeling again and again was shouting aloud in me and my inner voice was constantly telling me,'aqsa control your emotions, you are at public place, reach home first then do your madness'
First thing after the exams i was excited about was that i was going to Mumbai to eat my elder brother and bhabhi's head and a kid was blabbering inside me to become kid once again with my cutiepie neice.I went there had loads of fun and the journey ended as every journey has to and came back. After coming back Mumbai hangover stayed with me for some days, but it too got somewhere lost in daily routine of my life.
Few days passed,a week passed,a week and a half passed, two weeks passed. Now the strangest question banging my head was am i missing my college? and my concious replied in affirmation. The place at the the last day of my exam seemed to me not less than Tihar jail, now i actually was missing it.Everything about it,the way we used to tease Manvi, mocking at Deeksha's Sheila ki jawani dance,Neha's mumness,Sheena's happy go lucky attitude,Naziya's perfecto demeanour and Bindita's cute smile which i bet can make anyone in this world forget his problems.I started badly missing my college canteen where we all used to "tutofy" in one plate of chowmein and french fries.I missed the stairs in front of foyer where me and my gang used to talk about every useless possible thing on this earth and most important 'assignments',not actually the assignments but the way we used to prepare them..less of work and more of 'halla-gulla'..late night texting asking each other that where we have reached in preparing assignment and after all the efforts we were still incomplete with the assignment and the best part comes here when in the fresh and bright morning we got the lecture of Neena mam on Gandhi and her philosophical formulas of life and her advice to us for making answers "crisp"(her favourite dialogue).
These holidays made me realise that how much i show that am happy not going to college but my heart always says,I LOVE YOU KAMALA NEHRU...
Waiting college to reopen! :)

Peace of India attacked again...victory of terrorism??

6:15 at Jhaveri bazar,Dadar and Opera house in Mumbai..serial bomb blasts took place, once again taking toll on people's lives. Many injured and several lost their lives.Once again people of Mumbai lost their dear ones whom they were expecting to come back home safely on time, but they never came back..and once again terror overpowered Mumbaikars.
Digvijay singh, member of congress party gave the statement after the attacks,'In Pakistan every week there's a terror attack,we are still doing fairly enough to stop attacks.'After such comments what expectation we can have from the people who are given the responsibility to protect the citizens of India. He is comparing an emerging world power to a failed state.Instead the govt must answer this question that why after 9/11 there was no attack in United States Of America or any other major power like United kingdom or else.
The reason why India is not able to stop this curse of terrorism is only because there is no political will do that. The govt have to except this fact that there are loopholes in our security agencies,we do not have adequate technology to track the information of attacks, weak intelligence and ill-equipped police departments.
It has become the norm that after every bomb blasts that Prime Minister gives the speech to maintain peace and harmony and announce to give money to the families of those who were victim of attacks.High level meetings takes place and again after a leap of time they become forgetful of everything.People who lost their lives cannot come back but atleast govt can take appropriate measures to combat terrorism.
Until govt of India will not take accurate, more stringent and willful measures...we will keep witnessing hindrance in peace of our country and victory of terrorism at all times.

Cooking Connection :)

Mom,She is a wonderful chef. She loves cooking more than anything. One word i can say for her cooking skills is 'magical'.It appears as if she swirls her magic wand and everything gets ready in front of us..the scrumptious food. But i as a kid never realized that how much passion undergoes in concoting the ingredients, for her, ingredients are not mere ingredients she becomes one with them.
After the exams,in vacations mom asked me to make some rotis as i was free and leisuring here and there so she thought that this is the best time for learning something useful.Although i never loved cooking much.Every vacations there used to be the same scene, mom shouting on me to learn if not elaborate dishes then of only daily routine but nothing fell on my deaf ears.
So where was i..yeah..rotis.I entered the kitchen like a warrior entering in the battlefield with a confidence on my face that i will do every damn thing perfectly. After three or four rotis i gave up!..i went to mom sat on my knees and gave her a grand salute. This gesture of mine said it all.Funnily she said to me,'kyun bacchu ab samjh mei aaya..' and i had nothing to say all i could do was just bow down in front her.
Cooking is not something which is impossible but what is impossible is to be like MOM.Her passion has inspired me to do not only best in cooking but in every field.
And the biggest truth is that she one of her own kind, neither i want to be like her nor i can.She is just blessed with something miraculous in her hands.
MOm i Not just only love you..but also your out of the world innovations.
uuuu..uuuu..tomorrow chocolate pudding..please!! hehehe.. :))

Burial of bygones..........

The best lesson one can have in life is to master the technique of burying one's past.Though it requires no trick, yet it needs to be mastered.
Our bygones,if worse eats us from inside all through life...lets forget every grave moment and weave a new & rejuvenated present and future for ourselves..
Lets become oblivious of every dilemma, every sorrow and every feeling which couldn't let you sleep at night and contemplate on the beautiful and precious moments you cherished and give life sometime, time to once again bloom

It will surely work..and even if it doesn't it shall leave you with a "desire" to fill your life with great positiveness..!

Don't forget,if one thing decays,other blossoms..!

Legend died with desire unfulfilled.............

The last words he uttered were,'all i want is falooda from Mumbai'.This expressed the urge of Husain that how much he was longing to be in his country. Now the question arises, was India able to do justice with him? I believe,NO!.I am a firm believer in the system of democracy although it is not run in our country on fair basis.First it gives its citizens the freedom of speech and expression and then at the same time when actually the time comes and there is a need for the state to demonstrate its 'expertise' to save the rights of people,it leaves its citizens astray in chaos of political drama hatched around them.Similar was the case of Husain ,he had been surrounded in many controversies all through his life. His painting of a Hindu deity in the nude, display of blood spattered rape of India at the Serpentine gallery in London, his film,'Meenaxi':A tale of three cities ,had Muslim organizations complaining that it contained a song which blasphemed the Quran . Painting of Bharat Mata as a nude woman created another controversy. These led to several cases being filed against him.His painting raised the storm in the country and, no doubt, communal forces had a big hand in it.Here i strongly criticize the role of government ,it is accpted that M.F.Husain's paintings offended some communities but it must also not be forgotten that we as the citizens of democratic India possess freedom of expression too. There could have been many other ways that government might have adopted rather to give him an exile which lead to complete aloof from his country physically however he till the last breath was mentally and emotionally attached to his country. His specific paintings could have been stopped from public display in India or perhaps he may be asked to apologize to the communities whose sentiments were hurt. Are the rights given to the individuals in our country for namesake? India needs to learn to be a tolerant country. We need to understand the diversity of opinions and way of conveying expressions. However i also believe that an individual should also keep in mind while expressing that he offends least people. But after all an in individual perspective is individual perspective! you can't trap it in boundaries.
India is religiously emotional country.Anyone who comes in our path of religious sentiments and faith we are ready at that particular moment to chastise that person. As the aware citizens we must realize the importance of freedom of expression and also develop an understanding to absorb and where needed overlook certain views and expressions.
M.F.Husain's death is a void in the culture of art.He had glorious sense of aesthetics .We should hang our heads in shame that a person who was an asset to the country and was of great eminence died with a desire unfulfilled. This is a saddening fact that government couldn't lend support to him.
I would end by writing a couplet of Akbar Allahabadi which Husain,a great connoissuer of poetry often used to say,'hue is qadar muhazzab kabhi ghar ka moonh na dekha/kati umr hotelon mein mare haspatal mein jakar.'.............................

New experiences..new emotions..new world..!

Its going to be an year since i entered the college. It feels amazing, had i ever thought that one day i would actually be at a place where i longed to be when i was in school.School days were the times when not me every student desires to get the best college. That anxiety, nervousness, excitement all these mix of feelings compels even the disinterested person to study & pray to get the feel of college life once.
n....yes!!
i finally got what i wanted, college of my choice, course of my choice and everything. Then began the new "era",i m connoting it with term era because for me it was not less than an era..it brought a GIGANTIC TRANSFORMATION IN MY LIFE.
WOW..!!! n look at me now i m not only studying the course of my choice but its much more than that.I feel independent,i feel more confident and there is an absolute change of personality.I m no more the same Aqsa who used to think and act twice or thrice before anything.I see in myself emerging a volcano of new ideas and then i realized that college is not only about hanging around in canteen but also about giving designs to your ambitions and most importantly to exercise your independence with a responsibility.
I never knew that a step ahead in my life will also accompany a cluster of emotions which were until now an alien territory me..emotions began taking slides like oceanic tides.HEY..HEY..m talking about the same feelings which every teenager goes through. In the most raw language of youngsters "liking","crushes","proposals","denials","infatuation" and God knows what all..hehe..
Well..this is life! the bygones seems us the history, this history shapes our present
and future..what had already occurred was also a phase..n what is occurring today is also a phase..the only difference is we have lived the 'gone' now its time to live the present..and give way to blossom our new world full of astonishing surprises..!

and..i m in love with what i have now!!!!!
